2003 - El 20 de Julio el PELICAN I informó de problemas con su servo que le llevaron a colisionar con el MAERSK BAHREIN en el Río Scheldt cerca de BOCHT VAN BATH, a consecuencia de ello sufrió daños en el casco y en la máquina que casi lo llevan a su hundimiento. La grua flotante CORMORANT se encargó de descargar los contenedores del barco. El PELICAN I fue reflotado el 28 de Julio y llevado a Amberes.

2003 - On July, 20th the PELICAN I reported that she had steering gear problems wich lead to the direct collision with MAERSK BAHREIN in the River Scheldt near BOCHT VAN BATH, inmediately after the collision the PELICAN I reported a black out, damage in the engine room and hull damage. The floating crane CORMORANT was in command of removing the containers from the ship. The PELICAN I was refloated on July, 28th and taken to the port of Antwerp.
