1943-1945 Transportó tropas sudafricanas a través del Canal de Suez como buque insignia junto con el covoy de la Union-Castle formado por Arundel Castle, el Windsor Castle, el Winchester Castle, el Durban Castle y el Capetown Castle. A partir de 1943 entre Reino Unido y Estados Unidos.

1946 - Remodelado y continuó en servicio hasta su viaje número 141 el 6 de Agosto de 1965 en Southampton.

1965 - 13 de Septiembre, llegó a Kaohsiung, Taiwan para ser desguazado.

1943-1945 She was the commodore ship of a Union-Castle convoy made up of the Arundel Castle, the Windsor Castle, the Winchester Castle, the Durban Castle and the Capetown Castle to carry South African troops to Suez. From 1943 she carried troops between United Kingdom and the United States.

1946 - She was refit and continued in service until August, 6th 1965 when she concluded her 141st voyage at Southampton.

1965 - September, 13th arrived Kaohsiung, Taiwan for breaking up.
